1. What we collect
When you create or use a Biuret account, we process your email address, display name, verification status, session information, and any profile photo you choose to save. Biuret Academy also records completed challenges, activity dates, and learning points. If you sign in with Google or GitHub, the provider shares basic account information needed to identify you, such as your name and email address. We do not request access to Gmail, Google Drive, GitHub repositories, or your passwords for those services.
2. How we use it
We use account information to create and secure your account, sign you in, show your profile, send account verification or recovery messages, and support account features. Academy progress is saved in your browser and, when you sign in, synced to your Appwrite account preferences so you can continue on another device. Your browser also stores language and display preferences locally. Biuret does not sell your account data.
3. Services involved
Appwrite provides account, session, and profile storage. Google or GitHub handles provider authentication when you choose its sign-in button. The website is served through GitHub Pages. These services may process technical data needed to provide their services under their own privacy policies.
4. Retention and choices
We keep account data while your account is active or as needed to provide the service. You can change your display name, email, and profile photo in account settings. To request access to or deletion of your account data, email biuret956@gmail.com. You can also revoke Biuret's access in your Google or GitHub account settings.
5. Updates and contact
We may update this policy as the site changes. The current version will be posted here with a new effective date. Privacy questions can be sent to biuret956@gmail.com.
